About the university
Inheriting a long Jesuit tradition in the country, the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University was born in 2003. Through the San Pablo, San Martin or San Francisco de Borja colleges, from the 16th to the 18th centuries, the Jesuits have spread the Pedagogical principles that initiate the creation of new educational identities. In the twentieth century, the Jesuit community founded the Institute of Classical Humanities that later became the School of Pedagogy, Philosophy and Literature Antonio Ruiz de Montoya, founded in 1991 and which gave rise to the current university. Over the years, the university has assembled a team of renowned intellectuals from the milieu, who allow us to lay the foundations of an educational institution against the background of technocratic tendencies, leaving aside the humanist sense rooted in the very idea of university .
