About the university
The University of Chiclayo was created by Law No. 24086, on January 11, 1985, beginning its academic work with the Professional Careers of Architecture and Urbanism and the Faculty of Health Sciences, with the Professional School of Obstetrics. Subsequently, Art. 02 of the Law of Creation was modified by Law No. 2478 on December 22, 1987, expanding the Professional Careers of Health Sciences, with the Professional Schools of Medical Technology with the specialty of Radiology, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and Clinical Laboratory; Faculty of Education with the Professional Schools of Initial Education and Special Education. In 1992 the University of Chiclayo acquires its full autonomy by electing its highest authorities. In 1993 the professional degrees in Law, Computer and Systems Engineering, Psychology, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics were approved; The Faculty of Education with Primary and Secondary Education is also extended.
