About the university
The Private University of Tacna is a private, non-profit university, founded on January 3, 1985 by the presbyter Luis Mellado Manzano in the city of Tacna . The Private University of Tacna grew rapidly and this motivated the priest Mellado to acquire a new land in what is now the Campus Capanique, beginning the construction of the first pavilion, with the support of the government, donations of people and companies.
