National University Jose Faustino Sanchez Carrion

The National University José Faustino Sánchez Carrión de Huacho, originally born as the Faculty of Aquaculture and Oceanography, subsidiary of the Communal University of the Center of Peru with headquarters in Huancayo, creating branches from the month of August of 1959 and beginning its operation the 4 April 1960 The Communal University Center of Peru, privately managed, was nationalized on January 2, 1962 by Law No. 13827 and becomes the National University of Central Peru based in Huancayo. The Law includes in its Article 7 the Faculty of Aquaculture and Oceanography of Huacho as a subsidiary of the National University of the Center of Peru. 1962 the Faculty of Aquaculture and Oceanography, takes the name of Fishing Engineering. In this same year the School of Education is created and enters into operation, in the specialty of Secondary Common and Technical. In 1963 the Faculty of Economic and Commercial Sciences began to operate, with its own budget despite being a subsidiary of the Universidad Comunal del Centro. From 1962 to 1968 the relation of dependence is nominal and shows the absolute disconnection with the Communal University of the Center of Peru Huancayo, situation reinforced by the legal provisions of the operating budgets of the Republic of 1967 and 1968, which gave, Implicitly, autonomy to the University of Huacho. The Revolutionary Government of the Armed Forces promulgates Decree Law No. 17358 of the transformation into a subsidiary, operating in the city of Huacho, department of Lima, of the Communal University of Central Peru with headquarters in Huancayo, Department of Junin. 31 December 1968; Granting the birth certificate of the National University José Faustino Sánchez Carrión de Huacho, with retroactivity to January 1, 1967, accepting University Law No. 13417.
