Staropolska Higher School was established in 2001 on the basis of the decision of the Minister of National Education DSW-3-0145-33 / Eco / 2001. The school was entered in the register of universities run by the Minister of National Education under No. 199 and has legal personality. In the first year of operation, 111 students were educated at the University. With each year, the number of students is increasing and currently the number of all 30 faculties is 3052. In 2001, the university was called the School of Regional Economics Management and later changed to the School of Economics, Tourism and Social Sciences. Due to the dynamics of the University's development and the reference to the traditions of the Świętokrzyskie region and the Staropolski Industrial District, the name was eventually changed to Staropolska Higher School, which operates to date. The Staropolska Higher School in Kielce conducts 3-year undergraduate studies (undergraduate), 3.5 years engineering studies, 2-year undergraduate studies (MA) and postgraduate studies, courses and training. All levels of study are conducted in a fixed (daily) and extramural (extramural) system. At present, StSW, as an independent ranking of Perspectives and Rzeczpospolita, has been named the best non-public university in Świętokrzyskie. Staropolska University is a thriving academic center, which currently has 5 national faculties (Kielce, Warsaw, Żyrardów, Myślenice and Bochnia) and 2 abroad (Lutsk, Ukraine and Dublin, Ireland). The Staropolska Higher School is an international institution that emphasizes both theoretical and practical education. Every year, about 100 students leave the Erasmus Plus Program for study and internship abroad to 58 partner universities and institutions. The most frequently selected destinations are Spain, Greece, Slovakia, Germany, the Czech Republic and Italy. As part of our student exchange programs, our students may study part of the program in the United States. Staropolska Higher School actively cooperates with the local community and self-government institutions. Our priority is to develop study programs appropriate to the local and global labor market requirements. Practical training is provided, inter alia, through practical training and apprenticeship. This education allows you to verify your previous knowledge, develop your professional skills, and teach you how to apply your knowledge and skills in practice. In keeping with the constant improvement of the quality of education, the Internal Quality Assurance System was developed. The main aim of the Internal Quality Assurance System is to build quality culture in the university environment and to achieve a high level of quality in order to better meet the expectations of students and employers and to increase the competitiveness of higher education institutions in the higher education sector.
