Long-cycle studies in Psychology are oriented towards people who are interested in human behaviour, its psychological underpinnings, and social and biological determinants. The programme offers knowledge of general psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, family psychology, forensic psychology, occupational and organisational psychology, health psychology, and psychopathology. It also prepares students to plan and conduct scientific research, equips them with skills to recognise individual and social psychological phenomena, develops competencies in planning psychological interventions and providing support for other people. In addition, studies in Psychology provide knowledge in various complementary courses (philosophy, sociology, biological bases of behaviour, neurobiology, logic, psychiatry) and individually chosen elective courses on, among others, new trends and movements in psychology that go beyond the basic psychological framework (e.g. economic psychology, Internet psychology, psychology of music, addiction psychology, and sport psychology).
