The faculty of Romance philology is addressed to those who associate their professional career with the practical use of foreign languages in the sphere of business, administration, culture or tourism. Studies in the specializations of French language, Italian language, Spanish language, and applied languages: French and English, or Italian and English, each specialization with a translation program, develop linguistic and general humanistic interests in students and let the students acquire specific, practical professional skills. Apart from practical language learning, the curriculum contains also such subjects as linguistics, literary studies, life and institutions and translation. Such a selection of subjects allows students to quickly master the chosen language, become proficient in various types of discourse, be able to use the most important translation techniques and learn new technologies of work on the written and spoken texts.
