Offered majors: Teacher Training Programme Theology in Culture When the major is chosen: after the 5th semester Offered foreign language courses: English, German, French Programme characteristics: Programme: theology conducted at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Silesia in Katowice constitutes a classical realization of the project of theological studies, designated in the framework of the Catholic Church by the standards of the Sapientia christiana constitution. The programme is based on an in-depth study of philosophy (logic and theory of cognition, history of philosophy, anthropology, metaphysics, ethics), constituting an introduction to the proper studies of theology. Theology itself is learnt in the context of reliable historical knowledge about the origins and development of Christianity. The core of studies is formed by the Bible theology and systematic theology (fundamental, dogmatic and moral). Based on them, knowledge and skills in other disciplines are developed, in particular: spirituality, liturgics, catholic social science, ecumenism. Professional perspectives: Religion teacher; Mass media; Specialist archives, museums, libraries and publishing houses; Parish administration; Scientific work in the scope of theology (possibility of completing 3rd cycle studies);
