In the framework of the 2nd cycle studies in Family Studies, the student gains an in-depth interdisciplinary knowledge about the family. This knowledge is based on the Christian anthropology. The studies allow to gain an ordered, in-depth, leading to specialization, detailed knowledge in the scope of pedagogical, psychological, sociological and legal determinants of family functioning. In the framework of the programme, an emphasis is placed on considering issues concerning family life in a broad manner, extending beyond the methods of solely one scientific discipline. The assumed social goals such as strengthening the marriage bonds or improving the quality of family life require combined forces from many disciplines. The studies enable gaining detailed knowledge and skills concerning the essence and course of family mediations and executing the profession of a family assistant. The student also gains an in-depth knowledge of bioethical issues, as well as concerning the problem of addictions and violence in a family.
