A master's degree in nursing is obtained by a graduate of second degree studies in nursing who: has specialized knowledge in nursing and other medical sciences; in terms of skills can: solve professional problems, especially those related to making decisions in difficult situations resulting from the specificity of professional tasks and the conditions of their implementation, define standards of professional care for all ages and health of the patient and implement them into professional practice, conduct scientific research in the field of your specialty and disseminate their results in order to develop the profession, nursing knowledge and practice, improve the quality of services and exchange information, organize and supervise nursing care, taking into account adopted care theories and concepts, organize the work of subordinates and own work in accordance with applicable law, safeguarding the interests of patients, employees and organizations, use legal regulations in professional activity and apply them in practice in managing the organization, its part or a team of employees (nurses and midwives), develop staff policy assumptions and a staff employment plan in line with the strategy and patient needs for nursing, develop and implement into practice professional tools for monitoring and assessing the quality of nursing care, make choices and apply specific methods, organizational techniques and management techniques in researching, solving organizational problems and improving nursing, choose the optimal teaching and learning methods and apply selected ones, depending on the specifics of the teaching content and the goal to be achieved, develop health education programs and implement them in relation to the selected social environment, taking into account the needs of local communities.
