About the university
Teaching physics and astronomy is conducted at the University of Warsaw since its creation in 1816. Department of Physics has existed since 1969. The high level of teaching at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw provides excellent research and teaching staff. Among the approx. 200 university teachers have 84 teachers with the title of professor. We are studying with us more than 1,000 students, including 150 doctoral students.
