Admission Requirements The following may apply to the cycle of studies that leads to the mestre degree a) holders of a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent, primarily in the area of physical education and sports and sports science; b) holders of a foreign academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna process by a State that adheres to that process; c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as fulfilling the objectives of the degree of licenciado by the statutorily competent body; d) holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized by the statutorily competent body of ULHT as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies. Seriation criteria 50% grade of the previous qualification 20% Degree area or branch (affinity with the master's area) 10% Participation in Congresses and other events, with presentation of Communications or Posters 20% Professional curriculum in the area For candidates with no classification of previous qualification, the seriation criteria will be as follows: Curricular Appreciation: 40% Area of the degree or branch (affinity with the area of the master's degree) 20% Participation in Congresses and other events, with presentation of papers or posters 40% Professional curriculum in the area For candidates without previous qualification 100% Curricular appreciation Objectives The Master in Sport, Education and Literacy meets a clear need in terms of specific training of professionals able to successfully promote physical literacy in the various stages of human development in the educational, sports and health contexts. The social value of the existence of this master's degree, aligned with the national goals of the National Program for the Promotion of Physical Activity, is thus underlined. Recipients Professionals working in the Educational, Sports and Health Systems, constitute the target population of this Master. Future Studies The strong involvement of teachers, integrated in CIDEFES-FEFD (http://cidefes.ulusofona.pt/) in funded research projects benefits students, who are involved in them from very early on in their pathway within the master's program.
