About the university
The Cardenal Cisneros University Center was founded in 1973, beginning its training activity as a University School of Teachers of EGB with the initial support of the Complutense University. In 1977, the Universidad Complutense officially approved the studies and in 1978 they were officially recognized their degrees. At that time, the University School Cardenal Cisneros (EUCC) was a pioneer in the restoration of university studies in the city of Complutense until the University of Alcalá was reinstated in this town. In 1979, the EUCC signed an Agreement with the University of Alcalá, which implies that students, in addition to personalized training and quality, obtain Official Degrees from the University of Alcalá. In the 1991-1992 academic year, five specialties of Teaching began: Infantile Education, Primary Education, Foreign Language, Audition and Language and Special Education. In 1995 began to offer, in addition, the Diploma in Social Education.
