Location
The general goal is to train senior technicians so that they are capable of planning, projecting, organizing, controlling and managing the natural spaces and the assets and services made available by the field of forestry. Its objectives include protecting the soil, preserving and regulating water resources, ensuring the continuity of the wild species of flora and fauna, improving the rural environment and making good use of forest resources, both for their transformation by industries and for their direct use. Its competencies also include the construction of forest trails and premises for the storage, drying and processing of wood. Forest Engineers study and organize reforestation and the preservation of forest areas. To do so, they obtain an in-depth knowledge on how to fight plant pests and diseases, preventing and extinguishing fires, protecting and promoting wildlife, both land and marine, and improving all wild plant species. The aim is for those students who complete the degree to become professionals who are prepared to carry out the regulated profession of Forest Engineer and that they are able to handle renewable natural resources in a rational way.
