The objective of this degree is to train professionals to become specialized in the multidisciplinary field of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering. The ultimate goal is to train graduates in the profession of Chemical Engineer, so that they are able to create, plan, calculate and design procedures, equipment, industrial facilities and services, in the area of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering and related industry sectors, taking into account factors such as quality, safety, economy, rational and efficient use of natural resources and preservation of the environment. It also provides a research approach granting direct access to the USC's postgraduate program in Chemical and Environmental (with the Mention "Towards Excellence" ).
