About the university
Founded in 1918. During its existence the University has trained more than 130,000 professionals. Currently, the university educated more than 20,000 students in 89 specialties and international students and graduate students from more than 20 countries. Given the national and international recognition of the Dnepropetrovsk State University, the development and the realization of major government programs in the humanitarian field, the presence in an institution recognized at national and international level specialists and their research schools Presidential Decree Ukraine on September 11, 2000 the University was awarded national status . University today - a university of IV level of accreditation multidisciplinary educational and scientific complex, where there are 15 faculties, 3 educational centers, postgraduate and doctoral studies, 3 research institutes, 90 departments, which employ 1,700 teachers, including 165 doctors professors and 640 candidates of sciences. The structure also includes five university colleges (engineering, teaching, rocket and space engineering, economics and business, industrial), preparatory courses (including foreigners), Regional Center for Continuing Education "Dnieper" 2 high school (at DNU) etc.
