About the university
History Lviv Institute of Economy and Tourism reached its origins in 1899, the founding of the institution called imperial-royal trade school. During the 1899-1900 biennium. School was a temporary home Stanislaw Skarbek (modern theater room. M.Zankovetska). In 1900 for trade school was allocated a room on the street Skarbkivski 39 (now one-room schools of LIET - st. Lesi Ukrainian, 39). And soon, in 1902-1903rr. Trading School has gained the status of imperial-royal Commerce Academy. Within the walls of our school conducted training for trade and services. It trained businessmen, merchants, transcribers, studied German and French. The school had an interesting history: During World War I forced the staff to emigrate to Vienna, returning to Ukraine temporarily suspended student learning through the devastation of war. Only in 1919 imperial-royal Academy Trading resumes its work and receives from the Polish authorities the name of the State Trading Academy in. Accommodations - st. Skarbkivski 39 (now st. L., 39).
