Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Biology, Professor, Head of Department of Biochemistry Lviv Veterinary Institute in the years 1939-1976, member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, academician UASHN, Honored Scientist of Ukraine, honorary member of the Association of Ukrainian veterinarians US and Canada, founder of Veterinary clinical Biochemistry. Stephen Ґzhytskyy born January 14, 1900 in the village of Ait Terebovlya Ternopil region in a family of rural teachers. After primary school he studied at the imperial-royal school of Franz Joseph I in Ternopil (1911-1920). In 1920-1923 he studied at the Law Faculty secret Ukrainian university in Lviv, in the years 1923-1929 - a student of the Academy of Veterinary Medicine in.
