About the university
In September 1991, on the initiative of Mariupol city national-cultural society of the Greeks, Donetsk State University and with support from Mariupol City Council established Mariupol Humanitarian college at Donetsk State University. New universities selected multiple audiences at home Political Education Departments. At the 5 majors enrolled 102 students. Courses provide 12 teachers, only 3 of them have a scientific degree. In August 1993 the College of Humanities Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was reorganized in Mariupol Humanitarian Institute Donetsk State University. The institute enrolled 393 students and employs 40 teachers. A first international scientific conference "Donbass and Azov: problems of social, national and spiritual development." A Faculty. Cooperation agreement with Salonikskym University. Aristotle (Greece).
