About the university
Formation University began in 1984, when the city. Nikolaev organized a branch of the Odessa Agricultural Institute, due to the great need agricultural specialists of high qualification, agronomists, zooengineer, engineers, economists. In 1991, the number of students amounted to 2,232 persons, and the learning process provided 126 teachers (currently more than 8,000 students and 427 teachers). Therefore, the question of the transformation of the Odessa branch of the Agricultural Institute as an independent institution of higher education and the status of the institute received. In 1997 by the decision of State Accreditation Commission of Ukraine granted the highest institution IV level of accreditation, and in 1999 - the status of the Academy. Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated August 19, 2002 № 1208-based Academy established Mykolayiv State Agrarian University.
