About the university
Since 1993, the Institute moved to a modern, accepted in international practice, trohstupinchatu system of specialist training (bachelor, graduate, masters). In our time in four special departments Institute - meteorological, hydrological, environmental, computer science and management, correspondence faculty and faculty training and retraining of more than 2,500 students and cadets are trained for full-time and distance learning in the field of engineering and master's degree level training. Training of junior specialists training in the direction of Hydrometeorology carried out in subdivisions OHMI - Kherson Hydrometeorological Technical School. Since 1993, the Department of Military Training Odessa hidrometeorolohichoho Institute started training staff officers hidrometeorolohiv for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, as well as the training of reserve officers from among students in civilian professions full-time in all areas of training: Hydrometeorology, Ecology, Management, Computer Science. Nowadays OHMI to learn foreign students and doctoral students from over 35 countries. The Institute actively collaborates with a specialized agency of the United Nations - the World Meteorological Organization within the program of voluntary joint action by WMO (WMO VCP).
