About the university
The activities of the Kiev Economic Management Institute (KEIM) began in 1992. In the conditions of the development of independent Ukraine, urgent tasks appeared before the newly formed educational institution, which, first of all, were connected with the need to improve the system of training specialists in the economic profile. Changes in the economy of an independent state, the emergence of a market economy and the strengthening of international cooperation in the 90s of the last century required qualitative changes in the concept of economic education: the introduction of relevant specialties and disciplines, the strengthening of the study of foreign languages and new economic sciences, and the appeal to the experience of foreign countries. These priorities were aimed at training highly qualified specialists of international level for new directions of economic activity, in which there was an acute shortage of professional staff with a high level of knowledge and skills.
