Kharkiv State University of Food Technology and Trade

Kharkov State University, food and trade - state university IV level of accreditation under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, located in Kharkiv. It has 3 educational buildings with total area of ​​28,412 classrooms m², 2 dormitories for 935 seats, the Palace of students "Contemporary" and so on. University of its own history of the Commercial School named after Emperor Alexander III (1893-1919). In December 1911 the provincial rural assembly satisfy the request of the Kharkov merchant community for the establishment of a college of Kharkiv Commercial Institute. However, it was established only at the beginning of 1916/1917 school year and lasted until mid-1918. In 1929 opened Kharkov Institute of Soviet Trade of training highly qualified specialists for the system of trade and catering. World War II temporarily suspended the activities of the Institute. After the war was opened in Kharkiv Institute of Soviet Trade, which in 1959 was transferred to the city. Donetsk. In Kharkiv remained evening and correspondence department of Donetsk Institute of Soviet Trade, to which 1 July 1967 was created the Kharkov institute catering.
