Become a science teacher for middle and high school by getting a Secondary Education degree at Iowa Wesleyan. The Secondary Science Major is taught by dedicated, experienced educators who are currently in the field. This teaching endorsement will prepare you to teach any science class offered in middle or high school. In a recent survey of area superintendents, “All Science” was the top mentioned endorsement preferred in new hires. Our science curriculum has been aligned to address the NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) content. Iowa Wesleyan will prepare you to teach in rural districts, as well as metropolitan areas where more than one content area is required to be taught. With our 9th semester program, you have the opportunity to complete several endorsements with little extra cost.
