Numerical Control is a system (sometimes referred to as CAM - Computer-Aided Manufacturing) using specially prepared instructions, developed by the N/C Programmer, to control the operation of various manufacturing equipment such as machine tools, inspection machines, woodworking machines, laser machines, and robots. This associate degree is offered at the suggestion of the Industry Advisory Committee for Numerical Control. Students who would like to earn an associate degree and transfer to a university bachelor program can achieve this goal with early educational planning. However, earning an associate degree is not required to transfer. This program is also offered as a short-term certificate program.
