As a marketing student at UW-Stevens Point, you will learn to identify new markets and design campaigns to connect businesses with customers. You'll develop a mix of analytical and decision-making skills to creatively and strategically promote your organization. The UW-Stevens Point School of Business and Economics (SBE) creates career-ready graduates. We deliver in-demand skills, professional development experiences and access to employers. Graduates will complete degrees from a program ranked among the top 20 percent in the nation and top 5 percent in the world. With a bachelor's degree in marketing, you'll qualify for an array of leadership positions and other advanced roles in private, public and nonprofit organizations. Some marketing graduates also venture into entrepreneurship, creating their own successful businesses from the ground up. You'll have the option to work across industries in positions such as: •marketing specialist •public relations/communications specialist •marketing coordinator/assistant •market research analyst •sales representative •business development/sales manager •account manager/representative •product manager Learn to drive organizational success by getting the word out about products and services. Students take courses in business, consumer behavior, marketing research, digital marketing, sports marketing, international marketing and strategy. These classes improve critical thinking and foster the creativity necessary to lead marketing campaigns. Students develop important people skills and build professional network by participating in our unique Smiley Professional Events program. Hear top-notch speakers and meet local business representatives at our panel discussions, networking events and career-skills workshops.
