The goal of Neurological Physiotherapy is to broaden and deepen your theoretical and practical knowledge. You will undertake advanced physiotherapy practicums related to balance, mobility and gait disorders associated with acquired brain injuries (ABI), upper limb management of aged and neurological disorders, and vestibular rehabilitation for older adults and those with specific vestibular impairments from peripheral and CNS dysfunction. The programme concludes with a clinical research project related to rehabilitation of people with ABI that is designed to impact on patient care. Discipline-specific workshops, workplace practicums and clinical research will foster advanced knowledge, skills and applications for the optimal management of people ageing with a disability and those with neurological disorders/ABI.
