Location
English and/or Turkish (Both mediums are available) “Biomedical Sciences Master Program” with thesis in English, is planned to be carried out with contributions of academic staff of Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences of Altınbaş University. With this program, we will be able to train qualified researchers by integrating various biomedical sciences and related engineering branches into one program. On the research side, this program, by the joint use of basic and clinical sciences and engineering disciplines such as bioinformatics, signal and image processing, aims to develop effective diagnostic and therapeutic methods for metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity, neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer and depression, common diseases such as cancer, rare diseases such as Myasthenia Gravis to understand the molecular mechanism of these diseases and determine disease specific biomarkers and develop bioinformatics methods to increase the sensitivity of the diagnosis and especially early diagnosis of diseases. The research area of this program will also include medical imaging, medical image enhancement, biosensors and radiation biology. Therefore, the aim of the MSc Program in Biomedical Sciences is to train well-educated specialists, who will work in the application of science to clinics to improve the quality of health services, and to increase the quality of life for both healthy and sick individuals. Career Prospects: Besides having the opportunity of working at the public sector and private research and development companies, the graduates of the program can continue their academic careers as academicians at the public and private universities
