Occupational health and safety professionals are specially trained, professionally qualified, and competent in the field of occupational health and safety. As in the private sector, it is obligatory to employ an occupational safety specialist in public institutions and organizations. The field of occupational health and safety requires interaction and cooperation between positive and social sciences like engineering, chemistry, physics, medicine, psychology, law, sociology. This program is designed to train professionals who will serve as occupational safety experts. KTO Karatay University launched this program since enterprises are obliged to employ occupational safety personnel under the Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 and the number of qualified personnel in our country is low.
