Peruvian University of Applied Sciences

The Peruvian University of Applied Sciences was created by Law No. 26276, dated January 5 , 1994 . On February 18 of the same year, the ceremony was held to place the first stone of the main campus of the university. The 4 of August of 1994 , the first admission test was performed UPC; Thus the 15 of September of 1994 is inaugurated the first academic year and the 19th of the same month the classes of the first group of schools initiated Engineering , Architecture and Communication Sciences . In 1996 the Faculty of Studies of the Company (today, Faculty of Business) was created with the majors of Administration and Finance , Administration and Marketing , as well as Accounting and Administration . In addition, the program Complementary Training with the career of Systems Engineering was created so that the technical professionals in systems of the Higher Institute of Technology Cibertec could undertake university studies. In that same year, the university formed the "Division of Professional Studies for Executives" (EPE), which linked in a single unit the Complementary Higher Education Program, aimed at graduates of technological institutes of other specialties, People with incomplete higher education or even without higher education. In November the first version of the event "Entrepreneurial Creativity" is called, a competition that rewards business innovation and continues to date. In 1997 the UPC School of Business was created, now known as the UPC Postgraduate School, to offer postgraduate and professional specialization courses. Likewise in 1998 the law faculty was created and in 2000 the Faculty of Economics . In September 2004 the university joins the network of private academic institutions Laureate International Universities . In 2006 schools were created Health Sciences , Human Sciences and Administration in Hospitality and Tourism . In 2009 the Faculty of Contemporary Arts is created and in 2011 the Design . The following year is created the faculty of Education and in 2015 the Psychology .
