On 28.06.2012, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland adopted a law on granting the Medical Academy to them. The Silesian Piasts in Wroclaw name "Medical University im. On August 8, 2012, the President of the Republic of Poland, Bronislaw Komorowski, signed the bill. On August 10, 2012, the bill was announced in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland and the new name has been in force since August 25, October 4, 2012 will be the first inauguration of the academic year at the. Silesian Piasts in Wroclaw, a symbolic return to the university roots.
