About the university
The University of Yemen is an educational institution established by university professors through the establishment of separate colleges in the Faculty of Legal and Legal Sciences in 1993 which is the first private college in Yemen, followed by the establishment of the Faculty of Administration and Economics (National) in 1994. It was agreed between the two colleges on the establishment of the University of Yemen under the decision of the President of the Supreme Council of Universities Prime Minister No. (1368) for the year 1995. One of the first fruits of this step was the opening of the College of Languages and Literature in the same year 1995. The College of Science and Computer was inaugurated in 1997, and the University plans to open many scientific and humanitarian colleges in the coming years.
