It is a professional career oriented to the creation, planning and development of products, through the selection and analysis of requirements to achieve the optimization of its use, appearance and manufacturing. The industrial designer from Universidad Autónoma de Occidente is able to develop product concepts with an innovative vision, according to the requirements of the users and the existing technological possibilities, adjusting the design to the different stages of production and the subsequent stages. To achieve this, the students develop and integrate different concepts and methodologies, as well as current regulations. They also conduct the analysis and evaluation with physical models that allow the validation of these concepts and objects, supported by the management of different technological resources, hardware and software, for the generation of prototypes.
