In the Master’s programme in Applied Data Science and Analytics, you will gain in-depth knowledge and an understanding of the entire data science process. You will learn how to apply mathematical, statistical, analytical and machine learning/deep learning techniques to derive insights from large and often unstructured datasets. The data visualisation and storytelling part of the programme will enable you to leverage data, revealing valuable insights for stakeholder decision-making. You will also learn with us in a practice-oriented manner, collaborating with real customers in project-related modules. Besides completing a compulsory three-month internship at a company of your choice, you may also write your Master’s thesis in cooperation with a company, giving you almost one year of professional experience during your studies. Your career prospects Equipped with a Master of Science degree in Applied Data Science and Analytics and qualified at all levels of data science, you will have maximum opportunities in all sectors, such as manufacturing, banking, insurance, IT, consulting, public or industrial research services, healthcare, as well as further and higher education. Past graduates now work for ABB, Heidelberg Cement, Airbus, Accenture, Adidas, Audi, Bosch, BMW, BASF, Deloitte, Deutsche Börse, DKFZ, PWC, SAP and Verivox, as well as for successful SMEs. Our programme will also qualify you for a position in the public sector or in research. You will also be eligible to start a doctorate. Entrance criteria extra-occupational / part-time: bachelor degree with 210 ECTS credit points in computer science, business informatics or a related field and a minimum of one year qualified and subject-relevant professional experience in one of the following areas: IT, marketing, logistics, production or finance. If you have gained a bachelor's degree with 180 ECTS credit points, you can make up for the missing credit points and qualifications if you can provide proof of several years of work experience or completed further training courses. full-time: bachelor degree with 180 ECTS credit points in computer science, business informatics or a related field and a minimum of one year qualified and subject-relevant professional experience in one of the following areas: IT, marketing, logistics, production or finance. IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 80 or other proof of English proficiency.
