Admission Conditions The following are eligible to apply to the PhD Program in Sociomuseology at the Lusófona University a) The holders of a master's degree or legal equivalent; b) Holders of a licenciado degree who have a particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum vitae that is recognized as attesting to their capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the PhD Scientific Committee; c) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting to their capacity to carry out this cycle of studies by the Scientific Committee of the doctorate. Seriation criteria - 50% grade of the previous qualification - 50% evaluation of the curricula Candidates with no previous qualifications / holders of a bachelor's degree, holders of an academic or scientific curriculum of particular relevance / holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies: - 100% curricular appreciation Objectives The objectives of the Doctoral Course in Sociomuseology at the Lusófona University are based on the Dublin descriptors concerning the 2nd study cycle. It is in this context that it aims at creating a body of researchers and teaching staff capable of developing museological actions of high quality; to train specialists in Museology; to promote the development of post-graduate studies; to train and give continuity to the process of affirmation of Museology as an applied disciplinary and research area, raising the standards of quality and deepening of studies and research. To promote the training of human resources suitable for museological practice and museological research, competent for the creation of knowledge and its transmission, which contribute to the safeguarding and enhancement of heritage; To deepen the legal and operational knowledge regarding the implementation of cultural public policies that enhance museological action. Recipients -Holders of a licenciado degree or legal equivalent; - Holders of a foreign higher academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a State that adheres to this Process; - Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as fulfilling the objectives of the degree of licenciado by the scientific commission of the study cycle; - In duly justified cases, candidates may access the PhD program if they present an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that the scientific commission of the study cycle recognizes as fulfilling the capacity to undertake it
