This Master is a unique offer in the university system of Galicia and unique in Spain. This interuniversity master's degree is taught together with the University of Vigo and the University of A Coruña, in collaboration with Incipit-CSIC, and has a dual profile, professional and research. In its conception, it aims to train students to face archaeological activities regulated by the regulations in force in the Autonomous Community of Galicia. among others: prospecting, surveys, archaeological excavations, management and identification of materials, as well as the application of different archaeometric techniques and new technologies in this field of knowledge. At the same time, the master's degree aims to introduce students to research in the field of prehistory, the ancient world, medieval, modern and contemporary times through archaeological and literary sources. It covers the fundamental areas of research in Prehistory and Archeology of Galicia and also of Classical Antiquity. The necessary training in the various disciplines must be acquired in order to successfully face a doctoral thesis in the area of archeology, prehistory, ancient history or epigraphy.
