Admission Requirements The following may apply to the cycle of studies that leads to the mestre degree a) holders of a licenciado degree or legal equivalent; b) holders of a foreign academic degree conferred following a 1st cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna process by a State that adheres to that process; c) Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognized as fulfilling the objectives of the degree of licenciado by the statutorily competent body; d) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum vitae that is recognized by the statutorily competent body of ULHT as attesting the capacity to carry out this cycle of studies. It is mandatory the submission of an individual portfolio that allows the assessment of the candidate's artistic and professional career and the relevance of his/her past experience. This portfolio should preferably be delivered in digital format. Seriation criteria Candidates with a score of the previous qualification: - 50% mark of the previous qualification - 50% Interview Applicants without a degree or without a classification of previous qualification, the interview is weighted 100%. Objectives This master's program has as its main objective the exploration and experimentation in the area of animation arts and its production and research, through: - The knowledge and application of animation techniques; - The promotion of studies and practices of animation arts literacy around the analysis, study and production of animation cinema; - Exploring the dynamic particularities of animation to foster students' own personal style and vision through course units with an emphasis on innovation, invention and experimentation. - Specialization in animation arts for the audiovisual market and for author work; - In accordance with the growing popularity and commercial impact of the animation genre in the most varied projects of the audiovisual branch, we propose the fundamental reinforcement in the teaching of animation in Portugal and, consequently, the specialization of professionals in animation. Recipients The course is intended for all candidates with previous artistic training and who want to use animation to expand their knowledge and skills. It is also destined to all those who want to research in animation through their artistic conception processes contributing to the domain of artistic research through the practice of animation. Future Studies International Master Re:Anima; PhD in Media Arts and Communication, PhD in Communication Sciences. Career Prospects Directing and producing animated films; Realization and production of animation in an expanded context (installation, virtual and augmented reality, video mapping,...); Research in animation.
