The General Administrative Program prepares students for employment in business, government, and educational offices using automated systems and procedures. Emphasis is placed on the development of language skills and the use of computer-based word processing, spreadsheet, database, and accounting software in the performance of office functions. In addition, students are prepared to assume general office duties and decision-making office responsibilities. Completion of this program enables students to qualify for intermediate office positions and lays the foundation for entry into office management positions. Students who would like to earn an associate degree and transfer to a university bachelor program can achieve this goal with early educational planning. However, earning an associate degree is not required to transfer. This program is also offered as a short-term certificate program.
